Classical Model
I bought a pawn shop Yamaha long ago to take along to Guatemala, where I lived for a winter just before I got started learning to make guitars. I fell in love with the wide neck of the classical guitar and in some sense I have been making classical inspired steel strings all along. I decided I might as well just make a classical guitar.
Built with the same philosophy that goes into my steel strings, the classical features solid lining, carefully tuned fan bracing, all hide glue construction and a bolt on neck. That is not very traditional, but I am trying to build guitars for you and the generation after you and the generation after them. I don’t want anyone having to saw the neck off a guitar to reset it someday.
The version pictured here features an elevated fretboard and a bridle jointed headstock, just some of the possible design options to choose from.
