Indian Rosewood Classical Guitar

Afternoon sun shines in the south windows of the historic cotton mill building in Brattleboro Vermont, illuminating the top, rosette and neck of a classical guitar built by Aaron Foster in the Queen City Guitars shop

Indian rosewood and spruce topped

This classical sounds at first description fairly ordinary, but look closer and it features an elevated fingerboard with an undercut edge, and a bridle jointed headstock. Both headstock and neck are Alaskan yellow Cedar which provides a striking contrast to the dark tones of the rosewood body and lampblack headstock finish.

Sunset on the top of Queen City Guitars classical brings out the beauty of the spruce top and myrtle purfling.

The stunning contrast continues in the body of the guitar, which features rosewood binding set against curly laurel purfling.

Seen from the back the rosewood of this classical guitar contrasts with the curly myrtle purfling and Alaskan yellow cedar neck in the Vermont sun at the historic Cotton Mill building in Brattleboro Vermont.

The headstock feautures scalloped string cutaways, and a lowered face to allow for exceptionally clear string paths. The neck is a 25.5 scale -647.7mm- and oil varnished.

The body is a traditional pumice pore-filled french polish.
